Appleton Area public schools benefit from a team of dedicated, professional educators who receive strong support from an involved and caring community. Together, we are helping to ‘grow’ well-prepared students to meet tomorrow’s challenges and whose successes will make Appleton a stronger community.

Our Teachers:

  • The 1100+ teachers in the Appleton Area School District have just over 18,000 years of teaching experience.
  • 86% of Appleton teachers with five or more years of experience.
  • 51% of Appleton teachers with Masters Degree or higher.

Our Student Achievement:

  • Appleton's ACT composite score (23.3) outranks both the state (22.3) and national (21.1) composite scores.
  • Appleton’s 95% Graduation Rate outranks both state (89.6%) and national (75%) graduation rates.
  • 76.5% of Appleton's 10th graders score Advanced or Proficient in Math compared with 69.4% of Wisconsin students.
  • 85.5% of Appleton’s 4th graders score Advanced or Proficient in Reading compared with 81.4% of Wisconsin students.
